Ride and Stride

This annual event is taking place on Saturday 9th September. Anyone can enter and your support would be appreciated, you can walk, cycle, etc, the idea is to visit as many churches that you can between 10am and 6pm, a list will be available beforehand to help you plan your route and also details if the church has any facilities i.e. refreshments and toilets, you need a signature from each church to confirm you have been there. Money is raised by sponsorship, half of which goes to our church and half to the Shropshire Historic Churches Trust and is used as grants to various churches in the county. We, at Hadnall, are in the process of applying for two grants for various works to the church. Nearer the time we shall be setting up a Just Giving page on the website which makes finding sponsors much easier. More details nearer the time; For any more information please contact Judi Pridding on 210436.

Hadnall’s Got Talent

Easter Bingo

We had a lovely time with the Easter Bingo that was attended by young and old and in between. It was very different but fun and raised over £200 for church funds.

Ukulele Concert

Well what a very pleasant evening it was.  The Ukulele Concert was attended by about 60 including the helpers and we were all entertained with songs old and new, even one of George Formby’s songs.  Folks joined in singing along where they remembered the words and a good time was had by all.  In the interval we were served with the usual array of home made cakes and other refreshments.  The raffle was also drawn in the interval with lots of lovely prizes.  Overall the evening made in excess of £400.  so another successful event.  Thank you ladies.

Look out for the list of events planned for the rest of the year coming soon.

Our next concert event will be held on Saturday 18th February at 19.00.  This will be a concert by the Ukulele Band.  Something a little bit different.  The Concert will begin at 7.00 pm and will be held in the Church.

Tickets are on sale at £5.00 which includes light refreshments.  There will be a raffle during the evening.

There will also be a Bucket Collection on behalf of Alzheimer’s Society.  Do come and join us.

Other planned events will be notified shortly as we have a very mixed bag this year, Something for everyone.  Watch this space.
